Bread and cheese all to eat as a poor Iranian family speaking

I bumped into this clip on Facebook and after a few minutes I couldn’t stopped my tears. In this clip a family from Tehran is speaking about their poor condition and children speaking about being hungry and not having much to eat. My images of poverty in Iran always have been clear and I knew that the Islamic Dinosaurs of Iran never did any good to help people in poverty. I believe many of the top position holders in government, party leaders and Ayatollahs have never been poor themselves so they don’t know the mean of being poor.

Ahmadinejad claims that he was voted by millions of poor people for first time as he has offered them justice shares in oil and privatised companies, cheap loans and programs to help the low income household and many more big lies! In fact poverty rates have been increased during his presidential period and I believe all he has done so far is create more poverty.

Here is the translation of the clip dialogues:

Reporter: How are you?
Lady: Thank you please comes through. Welcome.

Soon as reporter is going inside she is talking about the way she earns for living as:

She says: I sell used clothes, neighbours are giving donation like giving me rice.
She says: I sell clothes to survive my daily life.
Reporter: From where or who do you buy the clothes?
She says: I am selling the clothes which have given to them by charities.
Reporter: So you are selling the second hands cloths?
She says: Yes, I wash them again to sell and I can make about 1,000 Toman ($1 US) per week.

Camera turns to the little girls,

Reporter: what did your mom give you to eat in the morning when you woke up?
Little girl: Cheese Reporter: What you ate for lunch?
Little girl: Cheese Reporter: Can you remember what you had for dinner last night?
Before going to bed when it was dark outside? Little girl is looking at her mom and seams like she is seeking permission from her mom to answer this question: Nothing.
Reporter: So you had nothing to eat?
Little girl: No.
Reporter: So you were hungry last night?
Little girl: Yes Reporter: Did you ask your mom for food? What did she said?
Little girl: Yes, I was hungry and mom said if they will bring something later you can have food.
Reporter: So you slap hungry? And when you woke up hungry next morning?
Little girl: Yes Reporter: So what did you have and who brought it for you?
Little girl: I had Cheese and bread given by neighbours.

Camera turns to the little boy,

Reporter: What did you eat? What about for breakfast?
Little boy: Bread and cheese for breakfast and lunch At this moment mother on tears: I don't have enough money to even live in a house and any money, I swear to god I live on neighbours donation and charities. I have no one who can help me, none one who will provide support and give me security…

Camera turns to the little boy,

Reporter: Ali, why are you crying? Bring your head up?
Little boy: It is my eye just itching

Camera turns to other daughter,

Reporter: Imagine someone with key responsibility from government in sitting in front of you, what would you ask? What would you say from your heart?
Older daughter: All I will ask them to give us a roof/house for living.
Reporter: anything, anything from hearth Older daughter: I just don’t like to see my mom sad and to be depended on other people.
Reporter: Do you make any money and how much? And how do you spend your packet money?
Little boy: I can make 10 to 20 Toman (less than 2 cents US) and I save it and giving it to my mom.

End.
